You check in and then it’s like you are on your own. There is also a severe lack of welcoming staff, it’s very odd. When they do come around? They go to the big game tables and that’s it, clear across the floor avoiding everyone else and then back to the bar to relax. Meanwhile, there are tons of people on the floor spending hundreds on their tight slot machines looking around for drinks, it was crazy how many upset people there were. Exhibit A, see attached photo, I found the TWO, yes TWO active cocktail girls just relaxing at the bar talking to a supervisor of some sort who is clearly relaxed as well. It’s absolutely mind boggling and surely they are instructed to take their time to cut back on alcohol distribution. One of the most glaring problems I have noticed is the lack of cocktail girls.
That part of this establishment continues to plummet. But if you plan to try and enjoy yourself beyond the bedroom at the Palms, forget about it. If you are looking for a relatively cheap place to stay that’s decent in terms of cleanliness than go for it. Unfortunately Palms is on life support at this point in terms of a experience. This will be the final year we stay here. For the past three years my co-workers and myself have stayed here the whole week during CES.
